Description
20" (51 cm.) Sculpted earthenware shoulder head turned strongly to
the side,having sculpted hair with flowing curls pulled into a
coiled chignon,red hair band,enamel eyes with heavily modeled
eyelids,tinted brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with gentle
smile,hemp-wrapped body,sculpted hands with expressive
fingers,painted stockings and leather glued-on shoes. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: especially beautiful face with fine
lustrous patina on original finish,superb shoes,elaborate well-
detailed costume. Ex-collection Margaret Woodbury Strong,being
sold to benefit the Strong's collection funds.
