Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center accent line,ears pierced into head,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,very firmly stuffed poupee body with shapely waist,gusset jointing at hips,kid over wooden upper arms,bisque arms from above the elbows,sculpted fingers and thumb. Condition: generally excellent,body especially sturdy and fresh. Comments: French,circa 1865. Value Points: superbly preserved poupee with lovely bisque,rare bisque arms and hands,and wearing fine original costume of white pique,undergarments,leather-heeled shoes in the Huret manner,and turquoise necklace and watch with fob.
