23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump round face,very full
cheeks,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,very dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked and fringed brows,rose-
blushed eye shadow,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed
mouth with shaded and outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig
over Steiner pate,Steiner composition fully jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 5 (head) J. St. (and
cadeceus sign on torso). Comments: Jules Steiner,circa 1884. Value
Points: compelling gentle expression on the plump-faced child with
soft rosy blush on cheeks,chin and eyelids,finest bisque,original
body and body finish,beautiful antique costume.
