Description
18" (46 cm.) - 22". Each of the two men has a distinctive hand-
sculpted wax head with brown complexion,with head affixed to a
wire armature for strength,and having brown glass eyes in
pronounced gaze,tiny nose,the larger having closed mouth with firm
lips,pronounced ears,and hair brows,and the smaller with wide
grinning expression and painted teeth; each on original wire frame
body wrapped in cloth,sculpted wax hands in expressive pose,nicely
costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Mary
McEwen,circa 1920. Value Points: presented as musicians,the pair
are notable for very animated expressions.
