26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head,brown glass paperweight inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,lushly painted lashes,brush-stroked and
feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth
with defined space between the shaded and accented lips,separately
modeled pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French
composition and wooden fully jointed body with plump limbs and
straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose
Jumeau 12 (incised on head,along with artist's checkmarks) Jumeau
Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1884,the
model was made for one year only. Value Points: rare early Jumeau
model in pristine original condition,with original Jumeau wig and
pate,original early Jumeau body with original finish,original
chemise and undergarments,Jumeau socks,original marked Jumeau
shoes,and presented in original labeled box.
