torso,oval face and elongated throat,painted features with downcast
eyes,painted lashes,carved wooden hands,on original attached wooden-
dowel framed muslin skirt with carved wooden platform. Condition:
very good overall. Comments: Continental,18th century. Value Points:
rare platform,the doll is wearing elaborate original silk brocade
costume with embroidered detail,and outstanding early cape with
delicate transfer pattern.
