Description
12" (30 cm.) h. horse. 14" h. overall. A bisque portrait head
depicting George Washington has painted facial features,tiny dark
blue eyes,aquiline nose,firmly set lips of closed mouth,white
mohair periwig,wooden block torso,arms and boots,posed seated on a
flannel-covered paper-mache horse with dappled coat and original
harness and saddle blanket. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: Dressel,circa 1890,from their series of American hero
dolls. Value Points: very fresh and all-original condition,George
with original classic costume,and the horse with removable head
for the toy's original purpose as candy container.
