15" (38 cm.) h. x 16"w. The open front one-room store has original crest and front panels with colored-lithographs depicting scenes of the sources of exotic spices and foods offered in the store, the front panels labeled "The Grocer’s Shop" (in English,German and French). The interior, with original paint and papers has a back wall of 12 spice shelves with original lithographed labels and there is a matching counter with attached scale. Various food stuffs fill the shelves and the counter, and a paper mache man with sculpted costume attends the store. Very good/excellent condition. Christian Hacker, circa 1880, lithograph store front designs were used with several different Hacker stores and evidently was a great favorite.
