23" (58 cm.) Carved wooden shoulder head with plump child-like
face,deeply defined eye sockets with painted taupe eyes,heavy
eyelids with black eyeliner,fringed brows,refined nose,closed
mouth with hint of smile,original glued-on wig with tiny little
ringlet curls framing the face,padded armature body,composition
lower arms and legs. Condition: original finish,paint flake on
forehead. Comments: Continental,probably Germany,18th century.
Value Points: very dear dreamy expression with heavy eyelids,with
original silk costume and metallic trim,matching slippers.
Included is an all-wooden 8" baby with original finish,enamel
eyes,deeply sculpted ears and facial features that are curiously
