Description
19" (48 cm.) A mauve velvet tufted cushion is centered within an
elaborate gilt ormolu frame with beveled mirrors,winged
dove,sunflowers,fern leaves and other decorative symbols,and
contains fragments of original wedding wax orange blossoms from
corsage and coronet,and with small bisque blue-winged angel; the
presentation rests upon an ebony wooden base under original blown
glass dome. Excellent condition. French,circa 1880,the lovely
tradition commemorated a couple's wedding day.
