14" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump facial
modeling,almond-shaped small blue glass enamel eyes,dark
eyeliner,short feathered lashes and brows,accented nostrils and
eye corners,closed mouth,accented lips,pierced ears,blonde
lambswool wig over Schmitt pate,composition and wooden eight-
loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,flat cut
derriere,wearing antique brown woolen dress and
accessories,leather shoes with impressed symbol of hot air balloon
and "marque depose",woven bourrelet cap and woven basket.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in shield) OO (head)
(body and pate also marked Sch). Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa
1882. Value Points: fine early Schmitt bebe with exceptional
detail of modeling on this petite size,original body and body
finish,very choice bisque.
