Description
16" (41 cm.) Depicting Flopsy,Mopsy and Farmer,each with paper-
mache oversized heads having distinctive sculpting and
painting,the bunnies with attached tall ears and green or brown
painted eyes and buck tooth,cloth costumes,and carved wooden paws;
and the Farmer with large googly-shaped eyes,applied beard,painted
white hair and brows,with carved wooden hands and boots.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: from the Pennsylvania
branch of the W.P.A. program designed to give work to starving
artists during the Depression Era,circa 1935. Value Points:
delightfully painted storybook figures in bright vivid colors,with
original costumes.
