Description
21" (53 cm.) Each has hand-sculpted wax head of older
gentleman,one with black complexion,one with amber-brown
complexion,their heads affixed to a wire armature for strength,and
having brown glass eyes gazing at each other,tiny nose,one with
closed mouth having firm lips and strong jaw line,the other with
mouth modeled open with teeth and having a wooden pipe in the
corner of his mouth,each on original wire frame body wrapped in
cloth,sculpted wax hands in expressive pose,nicely costumed.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Mary McEwen,circa 1920.
Value Points: the engaging companions appear to be realistically
discussing the passing scene,each with uniquely sculpted
definition of features.
