Description
10" (25 cm.) -12". Each is all-carved wood,with socket head,block
torso,loosely jointed legs,cloth upper arms,carved wooden lower
arms,attached to original puppet wires with wooden handles.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1935,the
puppets were created as part of the W.P.A. program to provide
jobs,and,simultaneously,stimulate interest in developing arts and
crafts skills. Value Points: especially fine quality of workmanship
on the set of puppets depicting ten different persons.
