16" (41 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain head with flat-cut neck socket on original shoulder plate,plump rounded facial shape,painted facial features,dark blue down-glancing eyes,black upper eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,blonde mohair curly wig over cork pate with original stringing screw in pate,softly stuffed kid torso with seating pull-string,one-piece gutta percha arms,kid legs with gusset-jointed hips and kid-over-wooden ball joints at knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Rohmer oval stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer,circa 1858. Value Points: rare and very beautiful early poupee with pink-tinted complexion,brilliant eyes,having various rare and early Rohmer depose systems in her construction including neck pivot and body style,and wearing fine early rose silk gown.
