18" (46 cm.) Hand-pressed pink-tinted porcelain shoulder head of
lady with oval face and very strong elongated throat,brown
sculpted hair drawn smoothly around the sides of her face,looped
under her sculpted ears and formed into a braided chignon at the
back,painted shaded blue eyes,black upper eyeliner with heavily
modeled eyelids,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth
with full lips,muslin stitch-jointed body with sewn-on blue
leather boots,leather arms,beautiful silk gown with embroidered
flowers,undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7
(incised,and pencil inscription inside shoulder plate). Comments:
Germany,circa 1850. Value Points: superb sculpting with commanding
presence,rare brown hair,beautiful painting.
