23" (58 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with very plump facial
shape,beautifully defined facial features clustered at center of
face,almond-shaped brown glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark
eye liner,delicately painted lashes and brows,rose-blushed eye
shadow,shaded accent dots at eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth
with upturned lip corners,accented and shaded lips,dimpled
chin,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,French composition and wooden
fully jointed bebe body with original pewter hands. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: P 4 D. Comments: Petit &
Dumoutier,circa 1880. Value Points: very rare and exquisitely
sculpted French bebe with lovely bisque and painting,original
body,wearing antique costume that is comprising royal purple dress
with lace collar and cuffs,ruffled bonnet,undergarments,leather
shoes with silk rosettes signed "P".
