Description
19" (48 cm.) including crown. The carved wooden doll with oval
face and aquiline nose has fine painted complexion and
features,brown inset enamel eyes,padded arms with sculpted wooden
hands and expressive fingers,on wooden-framed skirt base.
Condition: generally excellent,original finish with few tiny paint
rubs. Comments: Continental,late 18th century. Value Points:
superbly preserved wooden figure wearing elaborate original silk
brocade costume including tasseled ties,silver trim,and lace-edged
hood which is topped by an elaborate silver crown. Ex-Collection
