Description
31" (80 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass sleep eyes,thick dark
eyeliner,painted curly lashes,brush-stroked brows with feathered
detail,accented nostrils,closed mouth with shaded and outlined
lips,dimpled chin,composition and wooden ball-jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 117 80.
Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,circa 1912,the model was marketed
as "Mein Susser Liebling",the transitional model that combined the
aesthetic qualities of the art character dolls with the idealistic
dolly-face model. Value Points: few examples of the rare 80
centimeter model are known to exist,fine matte bisque and
painting,original body and body finish,lovely antique costume.
