Description
16" (41 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with deeply defined
forelock curl and side curls,and having sculpted bonnet with
original cream paint and decorated with gold bands and red
flowers,intaglio-sculpted tiny blue eyes with white eye
dots,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth,well-shaped
chin,all-wooden spring-jointed body,well costumed. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan. 17,1911 USA.
Comments: Schoenhut,Philadelphia,circa 1911. Value Points. very
rare early model by Schoenhut with wonderful definition of
sculpted hair and painted bonnet.
