Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate
with voluptuously modeled bosom,blue glass inset eyes,painted
lashes,arched feathered brows,accented nostrils,shapely kid torso
cut to accommodate the bosom,kid upper arms,bisque arms to above
the elbows with shapely fingers,outlined finger nails,modeled bent
left elbow,very shapely bisque legs from knees with sculpted
heeled shoes,holes in base of each heel for posing,in fine antique
robe. Condition: generally excellent,one fingertip chipped.
Comments: Radiquet & Cordonnier,the "Poupee-Statuette" was deposed
in 1880,the rare luxury model,made for a few years only,designed
to display theatrical costumes and high-couture designs. Value
Points: rare and beautiful poupee with superb and unique
body,sculpted shoes,fine quality of bisque and painting.
