11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with painted
hair,painted intaglio grey eyes in deeply set sockets,with
decorative glaze on pupils,black upper eyeliner,red upper
eyeliner,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed
mouth modeled as though open with well-defined teeth,blonde mohair
wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,nicely costumed.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: mystery
maker,Germany,from the art character movement,circa 1910. Value
Points: captivating expression achieved by unusual sculpting of
eyes appearing as though they are glass,and unusual sculpting of
mouth with very expressive lips.
