16" (41 cm.) Pale bisque socket head with rounded facial
shape,small blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading,dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,arched feathered brows,accented nostrils
and eye corners,open mouth with outlined tiny lips,two rows of
tiny teeth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate,French
composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists,pretty antique
costume,shoes and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: Jules Steiner,circa 1875,his earliest period bebe,the
facial model identical to that of the early period Bebe Gigoteur.
Value Points: rare and important early bebe with charming
presence,original body and body finish.
