Bisque socket head with unusual theatrical complexion,slanted brown glass sleep eyes,mohair lashes,painted lower lashes,black brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,outlined lips,four porcelain teeth,dimpled chin,pierced ears,black mohair wig,original French composition fully-jointed body by Edmund Daspres (Steiner successor). Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 8 Dep 1099 (and red Geschutz stamp). Comments: Simon and Halbig for the French market,with original Steiner body,circa 1910. Value Points: rare white complexion as though in Kabuki Theatre and original matching body is wearing outstanding silk costume with elaborate matching headdress,with blue ribbon award from 2013 UFDC competition.
