Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head. painted facial features,pale blue
down-cast eyes with accent-glaze on pupils,red and black upper
eyeliner,tiny painted upper lashes,short feathered brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with defined space suggesting tongue tip
between the outlined lips,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden
ball-jointed body,wearing pretty antique costume and carrying
little bisque doll. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 179.
Comments: Kestner,circa 1910,from their art character series.
Value Points: well-defined modeling especially around the mouth
and eyes of the hard-to-find model with beautiful bisque,original
body and body finish.
