17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder
plate,cobalt blue glass enamel eyes,painted lashes and feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth,accented
lips,pierced ears,original blonde mohair wig over cork pate,all-
wooden poupee body with dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips,and knees. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 4 (head) A La Poupee de Nuremberg...Lavallee-Peronne
Paris...(original paper label). Comments: the poupee was presented
in the doll boutique "A La Poupee de Nuremberg" owned by Madame
Lavalle-Peronne,described in La Poupee Modele as a "dollmaker of
exquisite taste"; her signature doll was presented as "Lily" and
the shop offered a multitude of costumes,accessories,and
furnishings designed for the doll. Value Points: rare to find with
boutique label,the poupee has near-mint original wooden
articulated body with original shop label.
