Description
16" (41 cm.) Standing upon a plaster/chalk self base,is a
demure,yet coquettish figure of fashionable flapper girl,her head
turned to the side,dramatic painting of facial features and
eyes,brunette mohair wig,jointed arms,one arm posed bent at the
elbow with finger held to lips,high heel posed feet with painted
shoes,wearing original flapper-style lace wedding dress and veil
with orange blossom trim. Condition: generally excellent,small
chip on base. Marks: Maurice Milliere,the early 20th century
French artist is noted for his stylistic etchings of fashionable
women,in the genre known as boudoir art. He was awarded Medaille
d'Or at the L'Exposition Coloniale. Value Points: beautifully-
preserved jointed arm figurine in original costume and
presentation.
