15" (38 cm.) One-piece carved wooden figure of standing child,his right arm held out with curled fingers holding a small wooden bowl or candle holder,sculpted deeply-curled hair,sculpted ears and defined facial features including deeply set eye sockets,elongated torso and shortened legs,painted green sandals. Condition: original finish,albeit worn and with craquelure,repair to left shoulder. Comments: Continental,18th century. Value Points: wonderful detail of sculpting of hair and facial features.
