Description
6" (15 cm.) l. 8"h. Posed upon a tinplate base with three spoked
wheels is a white paper-mache poodle with curly white fur,long
floppy ears,black bead eyes,black nose tip,decorated with burgundy
bows and a little bell; riding on the back of the oh-so-patient
dog is an all-bisque mignonette with blue glass eyes,painted
features,closed mouth,blonde mohair wig,painted shoes and
socks,and wearing Marquis costume of burgundy silk and velvet with
lace trim. When wound,the toy revolves,and moves forward in a
playful manner. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
French,attributed to Vichy,circa 1880. Value Points: most
delightful presentation that is all-original and luxurious.
