Description
12" (30 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and torso,sculpted hair
with center-part,long curls tumbling onto shoulders and loosely-
coiled chignon at the back nape,well-defined sculpting of facial
features including eye sockets and mouth,painted brown
eyes,lips,brows,and softly-blushed cheeks,dowel-jointing at
shoulders and elbows,sculpted fingers,wooden skirt-shaped "cage"
forms the lower body. Condition: generally excellent,two fingers
chipped at tips. Comments: Continental,late 18th century. Value
Points: very fine sculpting and painting of features,extra detail
of curls at front sides of head,wearing superb original padded
velvet robe and matching cape with elaborate metallic threads and
