Description
21" (53 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and torso,defined facial
features,brown downcast eyes with heavily-modeled eyelids,painted
features,closed mouth,blushed cheeks,glued wig,moustache and
beard,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,elongated
fingers and feet. Condition: generally excellent,hands repainted
with three missing fingers. Comments: Continental,18th century.
Value Points: the gentleman wears superb original costume of
richly-patterned silks and cotton,with fitted vest,woolen
