Description
13" (33 cm.) Standing upon a wooden platform behind a wooden
ironing board on which is a cotton cloth is a paper-mache kitten
with lush white fur coat,yellow glass eyes,pink sculpted nose,and
right hinged shoulder,holding a flat iron. When wound,the kitten's
head bobs up and down while right arm moves the iron back and
forth. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: R.D. (key).
Comments: Roullet et Decamps,circa 1900,from that firm's series of
"animal people" in amusing animated vignettes of everyday life.
Value Points: wonderful fresh condition of the charming mechanical
toy which functions well.
