27" (69 cm.) Bisque socket head with long-faced modeling,large
brown glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,dark
painted lashes,thick brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,closed mouth with shaded outlined lips,pierced ears,auburn
mohair wig,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body,lovely
antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep 12.
Comments: Simon and Halbig for the French market,circa 1895. Value
Points: deeply-sculpted facial features lend a character-like
expression,beautiful pale bisque and painting.
