Description
8" (20 cm.) Hiding within a paper-mache cabbage with shaped fabric
cabbage leaves is a white fur-covered bunny with glass eyes,hinged
jaw and hinged ears. When wound at the side of cabbage head,music
plays,the bunny turns side to side,slowly raises up from his
hiding place,opens and closes his mouth as though chewing a
cabbage leaf,and periodically his ears raise and lower. Condition:
generally excellent,mechanism and music function well. Marks:
Roullet et Decamps,circa 1900. Value Points: delightful musical
automaton is wonderfully-preserved.
