Huret, circa 1860,on deposed poupee body of Pierre-Victor Clement.
Clement,a maker of finely crafted leather shoes, deposed a system
of creating doll bodies that would be made in a similar manner as
shaping shoes. His doll body was a veritable copy of the Huret
poupee body, but likely due to its luxury expense was a commercial
failure, thus very rare today. Value Points: very beautiful Huret
model with finest artistic painting,on rare perfectly-preserved
Clement body with original signature, wearing antique white pique
gown with soutache embroidery,undergarments,leather ankle
boots, and with three additional antique gowns included.
