18" (46 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with delicate pale complexion contrasting with softly blushed plump cheeks and chin,almond-shaped brown glass paperweight eyes,dark eyeliner,lightly-painted lashes,feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and accented lips,pierced ears,original hand-stitched blonde mohair wig over cork pate,all-wooden fully-articulated body with dowel and pin jointing at shoulders,elbows,wrists,hips,knees and ankles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5 (head) N3C-34 (impressed symbols on back torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,his earliest version of the rare Bebe Modele presented in 1879. Value Points: extremely rare bebe with exceptional quality of bisque,sculpting and painting,superb original body with original finish,original wig,and wearing antique undergarments embroidered "Germaine",white pique dress with extended capelet collar,stockings,early leather shoes,fine woven bonnet with floral trim.
