Description
11" (28 cm.) h. 10"w. The bronze-framed desk in the classic Louis
XVI style has cabriole legs,beaded and ogee edging,curved-front
desk which opens to velvet-lined fitted interior and gold tooled
leather writing surface,with three pull-out drawers. The curved
front,drawers,sides and desk top are each embellished with
enameled hand-painted courtly garden scenes,the larger scene
featuring three ladies at a garden game. Excellent condition.
French,late 19th century,an opulent luxury furnishing for doll
display is extremely rare.
