16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender oval face and
elongated throat,brown glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,single-stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with
center accent line,brunette mohair wig over plaster
pate,composition and wooden lady-shaped body with ball-
jointing,wearing original chemise and pantalets. Condition:
generally excellent,thighs are appropriate size and shape yet of
different color. Marks: Germany (red stamp on body). Comments:
Kestner,circa 1910,the doll,known as "Gibson Girl",was designed
from original illustrations by American artist,Charles Dana
Gibson. Value Points: very rare socket head variation of the
distinctive and rare artist designed model,lovely bisque,original
wig,lady body,original chemise.
