Description
20" (51 cm.) x 16". A wooden box with colorful floral paper
decorations and various engravings of the round-the-world sailor
adventure,has instructions for play on the inside lid,and contains
a diorama theatre with side curtains,and rolled scenery of various
locations traveled round the world beginning at the port of Le
Havre in France. Also included are twelve framed scenes designed
to slip in slot at the top of theatre,and designed to show with
light behind to give an evening effect; these scenes include
Carnival at Nice,Festival of Flowers in Paris,The Festival of
Cider,and others. Generally excellent. France,M.B.,circa 1890,a
luxury toy that is rare to find in such complete state.
