Description
24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and
chin,brown glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined
lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,very plump composition and
wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 938 #13 (on edge of crown
rim). Comments: Alt,Beck and Gottschalk,circa 1880. Value Points:
very rare early child doll with lovely pale bisque enhanced by
luminous patina,original rare plump body,fine antique brown velvet
coat and matching bonnet with handmade lace
trim,undergarments,leather ankle strap boots.
