Description
13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with two faces,each with blue glass inset eyes,one depicting a smiling child with closed mouth,the other depicting a crying child with closed mouth having downcast expression,composition and wooden fully-jointed body,antique baby gown. Condition: generally excellent,pin flake on bottom rim of left eye of smiling face. Comments: attributed to Carl Bergner,circa 1895. Value Points: rare facial models for the novelty doll,having beautiful eyes and finest quality bisque.
