Description
24" (61 cm.) Poured wax shoulder head of slender-faced lady posed
with head tilted downward,elegantly-shaped slender face and
elongated throat,well-defined painted facial features,inserted
brunette hair with widow's peak at the forehead,carton torso which
separates at the waist for access to the candy container,carved
wooden slender arms and legs,posed on wooden stand,and wearing
original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
French,late 19th century. Value Points: very elegantly posed lady
with beautiful face,original costume,secret candy container. The
doll bears a blue ribbon award from 1991 UFDC exhibition in New
Orleans.
