21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich ebony black
complexion,brown glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted black
lashes,black sculpted brows with comb-marked details,accented
nostrils with rounded nose,open mouth with very full coral-shaded
lips,row of porcelain teeth,pierced ears,black fleecy mohair
wig,black composition and wooden ball-jointed body,beautifully
costumed in homespun fabrics decorated with beads and gilt coin
jewelry. Condition: generally excellent,few typical wig pulls at
crown rim. Marks: 1358 Germany S&H 8. Comments: Simon and
Halbig,circa 1910. Value Points: rare model with outstanding matte
complexion,especially fine painting of lips with shaded detail,the
rare larger size allowing for full definition of exotic
features,original body and body finish,wonderful antique costume.
