Description
4" (10 cm.) and 4". Each is all-bisque posed standing with one hand behind its back, and the right arm extended with clenched fist designed for holding a rake, with sculpted wide-brimmed sun bonnet, side-glancing googly eyes, blue wings, each incised O'Neill on feet, and the smaller with original paper label "Kewpie Germany". Excellent condition, two chips on bonnet brim of larger. Germany, circa 1915, from original O'Neill designs, the figures were inspired by the famous Grant Woods painting, "American Gothic".
