22" (56 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder
plate,small blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted
lashes and brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth
with outlined lips,white mohair wig and moustache with curled
tips,kid poupee body with shapely arms and legs. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Gaultier,circa 1875. Value Points:
wonderful presentation of the regally-posed gentleman,wearing
detailed antique regimental costume with soutache metallic
braid,bar of miniature ribbons and medals,elaborate
helmet,trousers,shoes,and carrying silver sword in scabbard.
