Description
22" (57 cm.) Bisque socket head,dark blue glass sleep
eyes,thickly-fringed brows,incised upper eyeliner,one stroke
tapered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
very full pouty-shaped downcast lips,blonde mohair wig,composition
and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: one-piece quarter-size
break and reglue at back bottom neck socket,otherwise excellent.
Marks: K*R 114 57. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt,the rare glass-
eyed variation of "Gretchen" model circa 1912,from their art
character doll series. Value Points: especially beautiful example
of the rare model with fine luminous complexion,wistful
expression,wearing antique sailor costume.
