15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral threaded eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, wooden articulated body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, bisque hands. Condition: generally excellent, body is structurally excellent albeit unpainted. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders) F.G. (shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1870. Value Points: beautiful poupee with ornate coiffure enhanced by ormolu comb, beautiful antique silk costume, undergarments, leather heeled boots, straw bonnet, and with very rare original wooden body with bisque hands.
