Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks and double
chin,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,arched feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and
outlined lips,impressed chin dimple,pierced ears,brunette mohair
wig,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body
with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent,body is aptly
sized and of the same era albeit not original. Marks: B. 3 M.
(head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments:
Mothereau,circa 1882. Value Points: rare model with outstanding
sculpting of highly-characterized facial features,antique costume
in burgundy velvet,and with rare leather belt with mounted glass-
eyed horse head having leather harness and bells,and with wooden
handled horsehead riding crop for play as hobby horse.
