Description
20" (51 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted
hair,complexion and facial features,blonde impasto hair,painted
shaded brown eyes with dark eyeliner,heavily-modeled eye
lids,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed
mouth,stitched ears,stitch-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and
knees. Condition: generally excellent,some little paint wear on
hair. Comments: Martha Chase,circa 1900. Value Points: early model
with especially fine detail of pressed features and fine original
painting of face,wearing wonderful antique costume including
celluloid button for Clam Bake of 1905,and patriotic pin "Wilson
1917".
