21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump cheeks,blue glass
paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,lushly-painted
lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,rose
blushed eye shadow,closed mouth with outlined lips,separately-
modeled pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball jointed body with straight
wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Jumeau 10
(incised) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau,circa 1884,the doll was made for one or two years only.
Value Points: beautiful bebe with finest delicate bisque enhanced
by sculpted details such as impressed dimples at chin and side of
mouth,original body and body finish,beautiful antique costume.
